First Aid Course

Hi I am very new to this - I have just registered for the CYPOP5 course and safeguarding children. I am just a little confused about the 12 hr First Aid course - can I take this within six months of being registered or do I need to do this course before I can start the application to register? I have seen conflicting info about this!

Also does anyone know of any first aid courses running in December?

I did mine in July as here in the north west we need it before registration. Im sure you would need it before they regisiter you because you cant look after children without it.

I looked online and did mine with my local st john ambulance. X

Also check your local adult education college, red cross or contact your childcare team at your local council and ask them what is available locally. Finished mine today, my 3rd one and wow how different it was to the one 3 years ago!
