I don't want to use the word "rules" obviously, so what word would you use instead?

Ds1 and i have put together a list of things that we think will make our house less fraught...we have put the positive rather than the negative and he really got in to it making sure that i too agreed to abide by the "rules"

we should sign it and call it out treaty really haha!

any ideas?

our list is as follows

1. we talk nicely
2. we are kind to each other
3. we look after each other
4. we tidy up
5. we listen
6. we share
7. we walk
8. we respect each other
9.we try our best
10. we have fun! :jump for joy:

They aren't in order of importance - i think that might be a little complicated for my 3yo...ill ask him lol!

thanks in advance

Personally I think rules are a fact of life that children have to get used to and we shouldn't be afraid of using the word! but if you didn't want to they could be aims or goals:D

thanks :D goals sound good " just like football" said ds1 so a winner!
i have always hated "rules" i dislike the word and detest having to follow them so i would prefer to use a more positive word  even i might actually stick to them then
