i have an assistant and she does the school runs for me. One 2 days i have 4 mindees under 3. 1 comes at 7.30, 1 comes at 8, 1 comes at 8.30 and the other comes at 9 but mom doesn't leave till 9.20 every day. My assistant takes the other children to school and she comes back about 9.05-9.10. My question is am i over my numbers even though mom is still hear at 9.20 and should my assistant take one mindee with her to cover myself.

I would say officially yes assuming your cert says youn can have 4 under 5 with an assistant. However if mum of one is there till she gets back then she can be resonsible for hers.

i am allowed 6 under 5 with an assistant and mom is always comes at 9 and and never leaves till 9.25 every day. I have asked this parent to drop off about 9.10 because she never leaves till 9.25 but she states she pays me at 9 so she comes at 9

what time do you sign the 9am mindee in - on your paperwork it will appear that you are over your numbers . why does mum stay til 920? If this is permenant you could change her contract to 9.15 , when your assistant is always back x

if mom comes at 9.10 not 9 i sign her mindee in at 9.10 what ever time she comes. I did change her contract to 9.15 and was going to give her abit of reduction but she states she wants her contract at 9

as long as you sign the 4th mindee in after your assistant gets back then you are okay but if mum leaves before hand you are over

I would be having a word with the mum apart from anything else. If she doesn't need to leave till 9.25 why arrive at 9??? surely you have got better things to do than entertain her for almost half an hour especially with 3 mindees on your own. I would be inclined to reduce the cost of her bill slightly and alter her contract so she arrives at 9.15 after assistant is back from school run!! That way there is no problem with being over your numbers!
