hi everyone...

With funded children, I am meant to ask if the parent will be needing me for
the same amount of hours next term.. ie the Spring term.. and by asking this
I've now found out the mum may be losing her job..:(

I also know one of my other mums is thinking of moving.. and am wondering
if anyone else ever asks parents if they still intended to be using your services
from one term to the next...

Its soo easy to assume everyone is happy in their jobs, homes, relationships..
only to find the families have plans which we don't know about and could be affected by in the long run.. x

so.. do you ask? do you think it could be a good idea to ask parents each term?

am just a wondering.. :o

I ask at the end of the term for the holidays as I sometimes have the children and sometimes now so I tend to find out information that way, but I don't ask those who attend term time only.

you have made a good point.. sometimes we have to ask esp for families who only use us term time..

and do families remember its 4 weeks they need to give us in notice if they are leaving...

I would only ask if I thought a family might be leaving and I had other enquiries which I'd have to turn down if they were staying.
