Saturdays

I have been asked by a friend to have a LO on Saturaday from approx 2pm-6pm, just as a one off. What would you charge for this? I usually charge £3.50 per hour.

Up to you - depends if want to work on a saturaday - I offer weekends as I don't mind and so charge my standard fee - but others that I know prefer not to work weekends and if do on occassion to help out parents they charge a unsocial hour fee that is considerable more so if normally £3.50 would charge £5 or £6 per hour - this tends to stop parents asking too often!

I would charge a slightly enhanced fee but not too bad as it's your friend and its a one off. Perhaps £5 an hour?

most teenage babysitters charge up to £5/hour so at least that for a Sat. If it's a friend I'd be tempted to do it as a favour and ask her to return it at some point:)

I work saturdays (or will do as of next week) my ususal rate is £3.25 and i am charging £5 as i class it as unsociable hours..
