OK, maybe not hundreds, but lots!

A while back I decided to start saving toilet roll & kitchen roll tubes and have way too many now. I just can't think of anything inspirational to do with them!

The oldest mindee I have is just 2, but pretty good at craft things. The others are all around a year old.

Any ideas?

we got told we couldn't use toilet roll holders because they are unhygienic. Can use kitchen towel ones and cut them in half if needed to.

We were told that years ago, or we could sanitize them in the microwave  no way if they aren't hygienic enough for children to use, they are going no where near my microwave!!!!!! As said it was proved to be a myth :clapping:

Circle printing - dip end in paint and use to print or wrap elastic bands tightly round the tube to make a pattern then dip in paint and roll onto paper.

Make a drainpipe for incy wincy - might need to use a kitchen roll tube or fasten two toilet roll inners together then cover with aluminium foil or paint black. Make a spider out of an egg box carton and attach string, thread up the drainpipe and pull to see incy wincy climb up.

It was only about 8 months ago when cm friend had Ofsted there and she saw animals made from toilet rolls. she was told you couldn't use them. unhygienic, to use kitchen roll......
so I don't no.
If its a myth or not.

We made Leeks for St david's Day. Paint the toilet roll green at the top and white at the bottom. When dry snip the top to 'fringe' it. They looked very good.

I think I may have got the idea from here.

How many of you heard of a child becomomg ill as a result of using loo rolls or egg boxes for craft work?

I know:rolleyes: ...Pleased it is a myth & with the H & S review taking place hopefully it'll all calm down a bit - though I won't hold my breathe (it wouldn't be safe after all)!:D
