Videos/DVDs

I was told at my briefing session that we shouldn't have all of our videos in the same room as they are combustible. Does this apply to dvds or is it just videos?

Did they tell you at your briefing meeting how many videos you could store in one room or are you supposed to guess :rolleyes:

Perhaps we shouldn't be in the same room as the computer in case it explodes... all that flying glass would be really dangerous :panic:

Hubby said videos are coated in magnesium oxide so if in direct sunlight for prolonged period can overheat but said dvds don't do this :thumbsup:

I have heard of the video thing before but don't think it applies to dvd's.
Video tape is very combu... cumbust..... combas..... easy to set on fire :D

that sounds really odd to me, they're only plastic after all!
I suppose they know what they're talking about?!
I asked my other half who supposedly knows about these things and he said
" utter rubbish",
but then he's been known to be wrong before!!

:laughingYeah that's what she said and they gave us some information about fire regulations for childminders and it says "storage of videos-combustible" in the list of things to consider.
So...i'll take it that it is just videos and not dvds. We have mostly dvds anyway. My bloke would not be happy if i started to scatter his dvd collection all over the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
