Ofsted have granted me a variation for 40 mins (only need 15 but they wanted to give me a buffer) 3 days a week where a 4 year old is picked up from reception 15 mins before two 3 year olds are dropped off at nursery. Woop, woop.

Just wanted to big up Ofsted as they have been very helpful to me.

I was granted one a cpl of weeks ago i reg in june this year : )

they gave it me for the "named child" on "set days" between 2-5

they were very helpfull and having explained the situation and ofsted inspecter rang me back the same day and granted it after we have a chat and she made sure i had everything in place already :)

It took about 3 weeks but only got the decision because I chased it up yesterday as I need it to start next week. It was touch and go to be fair.

A word of warning though - they don't usually grant them if it's new business or you're newly registered. It was also a bonus that I am an experienced teacher (a factor they mentioned when granting it).

Thing is, it never hurts to ask. They are reasonable after all!

they seem very nice at the moment,, i had one granted 3wks ago so i can have 4 under 5's 2 days a week for 5 hours a day, had childs sibblings aswell
so that helped,, hard work but worth it and very pleased with how ofsted helped and were flexible to the days/hours i needed.
