Hi

I am looking to purchase some reading books to introduce pre-schoolers to reading. I remember at school that I learnt from red ball, yellow ball, red lorry, yellow lorry sort of books.

Please can anyone recommend an books - ive been looking at the Oxford Reading Ones but are concerned that they may be too hard for pre-schoolers.

Thanking you all in advance!!

xx

The Usborne phonic books are quite good. Or you can get the read at home books with characters such as Floppy the dog.

The Floppy the dog ones are the Oxford reading group books. Stage 1 has no words and stage 2 is too hard for a pre-schooler. I just remember really basic books when I was younger that id love to try.

Have got some of the Usbourne ones for my LO so will give these a go. Thanks

the ladybird, first readers or I can Read books are good - old classics like Gingerbread Man, Little Red Hen.
