I have recieved this email today it is obviously a scam just thought i would make you all aware especially new members as you may not be aware of these scams.

My name is Mr harry rosario and i
am an italian american . At present,i am
looking for a minder for
my 3year old son,that would be moving to the uk with me..
we would be in the uk for 36months
i am recently divorced, and have custody of my custody of my son due to a court injuction
i am in search for a child minder who would be with him during the day
i would like to know if you can offer your
services. i would like to know your
1... your location
2....fees (per hour....perday) depending on how you
have always given your services.
In regards your fees,i would be
happy to ask my client to post a certified uk cheque
to you in advance for deposit and booking of your
services.I would make arrangements for every other
payment in cash once i arrive in the uk...I would be happy
if you can get in touch with me as soon as possible.

I know about this sort of thing already and we had an alert from our CFIS as well. Might be a good idea to explain to unfamiliar minders why this is a scam, perhaps someone who knows how to can do a link back to an old thread.

;) I'm not very good at that sort of thing.

They ask for your bank details saying they will pay funds into your bank but they withdraw from your account instead.

I have had the same one a few times now

If you look on the Bromley web site it does mention them

why dont you send one back asking "for recearch perpouses where they got this contact from?" would be interesting to see the answer if any??

Thanks for reminding us all.

We were advised to contact your CIS (so they can let all minders in the area know), your network co-ordinator/development officer and also the police - as it is a fraud/criminal.
