Just to make sure that I am not going out of my mind the

Full Day Care: National Standards for Under 8's Day Care and Childminding

is now defunct.

Its just that it is 'recommended reading' on the Uni course. Now you can still download it but its not relevant anymore in light of EYFS

Or am I missing something here

Oh dear I think your Uni course notes need updating! It's been out of date since the Eyfs came in.

However... you can still be picked up on issues relating back to it... for example, if Ofsted ask to see your accident paperwork and you show it from more than 3 years ago and there's something wrong like you didn't report an accident to them / Riddor etc then you can get inadequate because you didn't follow the requirements of the Standards at the time.

:D

might be recommended for historical reasons. We looked at lots of 'old' versions of frameworks when looking at policy, play and other modules. However, if you can't get a copy or download then a bit tricky!

I have emailed the tutor asking if we need this or does EYFS replace it in the reading list. I thought perhaps we might need to 'back' read it. I just thought I was going a bit bonkers!!!! lol
From what I can see on the DoE site you can still download.
