I am lucky enough to have a playroom and really fancy giving it a makeover. I like the idea of some sort of book display, which I would prefer to be mounted on the wall and not on the floor and also someone on here posted about those plastic display things for children's artwork.

So, can anyone recommend a good online shop where I can buy these sort of things, without them costing the earth. Also, if any of you have any other `must haves' please let me know :)

Argos is good for most things and I think personally reasonable. Ikea has some lovely ideas too - unfortunately my nearest is 60 miles away!! The book displays for walls well I think that is more specialist although as I said already Argos do a nice one with a canvas top which is good for large books and there are little baskets/buckets underneat for more toys or books. The display of art work - try Baker Ross - if you google it you will get it. I have the photo display which the children love to look at themselves!! I have the Argos cubby hole shelving which holds either 4 baskets or 6 baskets depending on what you want. I transformed an old CD holder to accommodate little baskets for arts and crafts material using ice cream cartons!!

Some good suggestions - thank you! That bookcase is ideal as not too expensive. I like one on the GLTC website but with delivery would cost best part of £80

I have just got this one - came this morning!!:

I like the idea of the pockets being different sizes to display different things. Last month we went to the transport museum so I kept out Travel card to display - it would have gone perfectly in one of these pockets.

The Ikea Trofast system is always popular for storage:

Here is an article that might help with some ideas:
