I'm stuck up in my bedroom while the men are downstairs sanding and sealing my parquet flooring. The noise is getting unbearable, but I thought I would try and put my policies into the four EYFS themes.

Have I done it right, or would you put them somewhere else?

Unique Child
Health and Safety Policy
Hygiene Policy

Accident/Incident Policy
Child Protection and Physical Contact Policy
Fire Escape Plan
General Activity Authorisation Form
Healthy eating policy
Large Garden/Play Equipment Policy
Large Play Equipment Permission Form
Lost Child Policy
Medicine Policy
Permission to Administer non-prescription Medication
Permission to seek Emergency Medical Treatment
Nappy and Toilet Training Policy
Safety on Outings Policy
Sandpit policy
Sickness Policy
Sleeping Baby Policy
Sun Protection Policy and Form
Trampoline policy
Transporting Children in a Car Policy
Terrorist attack/National Emergency
Uncollected Child policy

Positive Relationships
Allegations of Abuse against Childminder
Behaviour Management
Bullying and Biting Policy
Complaints Procedure
Confidentiality Policy
Closure policy
Dropping off and Collection Policy
Equal Opportunities Policy
House Rules
Pet Policy
Special Needs Policy
Termination of contracts policy
Working in Partnership with Parents Policy
Visitors Policy

Enabling Environments
Observation permission
Photo permission form

Learning and Development
Nothing

As you can see all my policies come under the first two headings. Have I done this right?

Sorry cant help you.

Do they have to be out under the relevant heading?

Mine aren't.

No, just trying a new idea. But if I don't have any for the 2 themes, it will be just going down as a list in alphabetical order, cos I think it will look silly.

I've still got mine under Every Child Matters until I'm told differently by Ofsted as that's how they inspect...! :D

I'm trying to do the same thing...Sarah, how have you got your policies organised - are there Every Child Matters guidelines somewhere?

Yes, that's how I have got mine at the moment and will continue to at the moment but just trying to get ahead of the game while I'm stuck upstairs.

Tbh, if I was making them work with and link up with EYFS I would use the Welfare Requirements, not the Principles...

I would go through the Welfare Requirements and see what they talk about and ask for, then relate policies back to them.

Hope that makes sense! :D

Thanks Sarah, where can I find the welfare requirements?

Looked through the pack and can't see them.

HI all
What I'm finding difficult is putting at the bottom the links to eyfs. I have been told to put e.g 1.1 safeguarding on that policyand so on, but when you look things up on the internet things such as accident and incident is 1.2.1, Equal opps then says 1.2 and on another site it says 1.14. I am so confused I feel I'm going round in circles some help aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!:(
