Would be cheaperfor them to have a nanny I would imagine.
But a v good earner for a childminder if they could get a variation.

OMG!!!!
Think I'd pass.
Not sure she will find a childminder to take 3 bubs so young. Imagine that in half term with the rowdy juniors! Or doing school runs:eek:

What a shame that shes in a position where she obviously has to go back to work so soon. 6 weeks old - tiny!!!! :)

gosh! It's hard enough sometimes to get 2 under 1 let alone 3!!

Think she would need a nanny or 2!

i would suggest a nanny!

i once applied for a nanny job for baby triplets - it would have been me full time, and 2 ( yes 2! ) aupairs!

i turned the job down as the parents were a bit odd and i didn't really feel comfortable!

Wow would need a fantastic job to be able to pay for childcare for triplets unless its just an odd day to give the grannies a break??????

I couldn't afford to go back to work after having mine, even if I could have found someone to have them :D mind you there weren't tax credits available in those days - god I sound old!!!!! and I would certainly never have been organised enough to be out the door by a certain time in the morning

Good luck to her

Goodness me £315 for a 50 hour week with 3 children, thats not a lot, glad I am down South. Thats only about £20 a day for each child.

it would actually be £675 a week, I charge £4.50 per hr and im down south north london/herts border

She is a lawyer and had a complicated pregnancy so had to take a majority of her maternity leave entitlement off before the babies came along

Mine works out similar and I am in SE London/Kent borders.

Poor woman having to go back so soon. :(

Its obviously still a mans world isnt it? No allowances made for complicated pregnancies.

My friend minds for a little one whose mum is pregnant and due in December. She wants to do 12 mths maternity but her bosses are objecting to it. Its a French company she works for although she is employed here in the UK. Apparently the French maternity entitlement isnt as generous as ours and they want her to take the French maternity entitlement. She has got to go to Paris HQ next week to sort it out.

Maybe she should move to the west country, it would only cost £500-510 a week over here :D

I would love it but dont think i could cope with the after schoolers at the same time. I would charge £475 a week and my friend is a nanny and she would want £300 a week so much cheaper for them to get a nanny!

Blimey - I am so lucky where I live, I can get away with charging so much more My fees would have worked out as £825 per week, not that I have space or would even want to do it - I am not totally mad. I think two small ones is hard enough

Can you imagine when all three learn the majic word "mine"? It would the be the seagulls from finding nemo all over again

Thats so funny, I'm chuckling to myself now!

I've got a 10 month old and a 14 month old at the moment and that is hard enough when it comes to meal times...the littlest is just like a little baby bird and sits in the high chair flapping her arms with her mouth wide open squaking to have food put into it...she doesn't understand at all that I only have one pair of hands and two babies to feed!!....Imagine 3 all doing that at the same time!

Have to say that I'd probably pass on the opportunity after having triplet sisters and a brother! At 6 weeks they are very demanding, come to think of it at 12 yrs they still are! My mum was lucky that she didn't have to go back to work and had older children to help at times.
£600 a week for a nanny - that's a lot of money
