I slogged my way through my first SEF last year just before the format changed.
Rather than sweat my way through another attempt in order to update this year I have decided to add a hand typed amendment to the SEF I printed out last year.
To reflect on what has gone well/not gone so well/been improved etc etc throughout the year with specific regard to my own service and practice.
I figure that this will be more enjoyable to do and more relevant and helpful to me than repeating myself and dying of frustration trying to fill in Ofsted's SEF online boxes.
I could then just add extra dated, hand typed documents yearly or more often as I think of things.
Perhaps this idea might help anyone else who is putting off online SEF update torture.
