Thanks to a certain milk delivery company I have 15 pints of milk in my fridge (some of which I bought myself because they didn't deliver when they said they would....they then sent double the next day!)

What can I do with it? Last night we all had milkshake, tomorrow i'm making macaroni cheese and will make an extra batch of cheese sauce to freeze, i was going to give some to the parents to take home....any more ideas?

(I know the milk is meant for the mindees but they will never drink it all before it goes out of date and i'd rather be naughty and use it myself than have to tip it down the drain)

How about getting some packets of angel delight and letting the kids help you "make" it?

Bread and butter pudding uses quite a lot of milk and is very yummy.

I'd freeze some too :D

Make some sweet bread. I made some cinnamon buns the other day and they took quite a bit of milk to make.

Here's the recipe http://www.channel4.com/food/recipes/baking/cakes/cinnamon-whirls-recipe_p_1.html

Hot chocolate made with milk for the mindees as a treat? If you're being really naughty they could have marshmallows on too:)

My mindees made their own tea last night (Pizza) and then angel delight which used up 1/2 pint each

What about ice lollies of milk and flavouring as they will freeze and last?

Make some yogurt, then you and the kids can learn all about the changes that go on in milk when bacteria is introduced, you can use a thermometer and practise numbers, you can chose what flavour to make it, I think you can freeze it too - lots of other stuff you can tie in too.

Read this page on how to use a thermos as an incubator to keep it nice and simple :) http://www.dvo.com/newsletter/monthly/2003/june/0603tabletalk.html
