Nothing is a stupid question - its more silly NOT to ask!

Generally you can have:

3 under the age of 5 years old and only 1 of these can be under the age of 1

3 between ages 5-8 years.

So judging by the ages of your children 6 and 2 yrs you can have 2 x under 5's and 2 x 5-8yrs

If a child is at full time school but age 4yrs then they are considered in your 5-8yrs bracket - just to confuzzle you more!

Hope that explains it - it should say on your reg certificate as well

No, nothing will change until he turns 8.

No it shouldn't as you can have 3 under 5 and 3 over 5 including your own. When your son reaches 8 then you can write to Ofsted and ask them to remove him from your numbers as he will no longer count.

Glad you reminded me of that - Harry turns 8 at the end of July, will have to put a note in my diary to inform Ofsted:cool:
