I have a mum who is now beginning to wind me up. I have been pretty flexible since I took on her two children they are before and after school term-time only. She asked me to work out my yearly fees so she could tell tax credits. I worked it out for her and it took me an hour to do and now I am thinking that it was an hour of MY time. My hubby thinks I shouldn't have done it or charged her for the hour. Has anyone else worked out a families tax credits or have I got mug written on my forward!!

Does she have the same hours every week or are they different?

I have never been asked to work out anybodies fees - its not my business as to where the money to pay from comes from and the fees are between the parent and tax credits and if I got it wrong I wouldnt want to be held responsible to it by the parent.....

No I wouldn;t have done it tbh, I wouldn;t want that responsibility - in case it was wrong and at the end of the day its up to HER to make sure what she is telling tax credits is correct and her responsibility for her own blooming finances.

Over and above the call of duty methinks.
