More questions when filling out Ofsted registration forms:

In "Preparing for your registration visit" question 5 has this part in it: "Do you know about any requirements to share information about certain people you have concerns about with the Independent Safeguarding Authority?"
I have looked on the ISA website and it seems that we as childcare providers have a legal obligation to refer relevant information about an individual to the ISA. Is this correct? If so, should I put this into my Complaints and/or Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy?

Also, when I fill in the Preparing for your registration visit leaflet, do I just refer to my policies where appropriate or do I fill in all the information from my policies in the boxes?

Thank you
xx

ISA is a safeguarding thing - for example if your new neighbour who has just moved in is known in the area as a pornographer or your new partner has a history of child abuse or you are told something worrying about a new worker at pre-school ... then you would disclose it to the ISA.

It is not a requirement to fill in all the boxes on your preparation form - it will help you to have the information required on the form so that you can discuss it with the inspector.
