chickens update

We got our 'girls' today - ex battery hens. They're called Phoebe, Monica and Rachael :laughing: They're great, loving 'em already.

There's absoultely no point to this, just wanted to share :blush:

The farm where we got them said they've never had a non-layer, so hopefully :) They were rescued cos they weren't laying quick enough for the farmers at the battery farm (booooo), but they can take their time here :)

Hopefully you'll find you won't know what to do with all the eggs. We have 4 chucks (did have 5 but the dog got Rose's favourite one) and we get at least 3 a day, we have to give them to friends. Good luck with them, Rose and the mindees love ours especially collecting the eggs.

oh...chickens !!

Love them...

I have 4 hens since february (getting 4 eggs a day) and now we added 2 baby chicks ...although they won't start laying till february/march time.

We never have enough egss as everyone wants them!

kids absolutely love the chickens! they are very sociable and you will find that each has their own character and they are lots of fun!

PS Be warned, they can be very addictive...:laughing:
