I'm a newly registered minder but at the moment have no mindees, to be really honest we are skint and I need to earn some money. The trouble is I've got kids of my own that I really don't want to leave to go out to work so was thinking of becoming an assisstant.
How do you find minders who require an assisstant?
Thanks

I would look for local minders on the direct gov site, or through googling for local childminders in case any have their own websites. Then either telephone or email or write to them to present your CV/Skills/Qualifications and to offer your services.

I guess you could be self-employed if you worked for several minders as an extra pair of hands as and when required by them if they had to book your services in advance at a rate agreed by you.
