Hi All
I'm trying to get policies etc in order for pre-reg inspection, and have seen that the Bromley site is quite popular to 'borrow' templates from. However, when I click on one of the policy titles on the site, (e.g child protection, bullying policy etc) a message pops up saying that I don't have the program needed to view these downloads.

What programs to people use and where can I find them? Getting very frustrated here...someone please rescue me before laptop gets chucked out of the window!! (but don't worry, I'll do a risk assessment first, hee hee  )

With hopeful thanks!

I have some of those policies from Bromley on my comp. I can try to send them all to you via zip file if that's of help? Just PM me with your email, if you like and I will see what I can do.

I am going out in a minute so will be back online later this evening.

They are all in Microsoft Word ...

You can get a free 30 day trial version from the Microsoft website and if you want to buy it, it's about £80 from Amazon for the Home and Student (cheapest) version.

Hope this helps :D

Thanks everyone for your helpful advice, and to Lottie for your email offer...but, after lots of swearing and feet stamping I have sorted it with a windows office viewer (? or something like that...!) so can print the policies and re-jig them for my setting. WHat a palava!!

Thanks again
Helen

I'm glad you've got it sorted

Good luck with your pre-reg visit - do you have a date yet?

No not yet, as I only posted my forms to ofsted on Thursday. Start ICP course 26th April...but the co-ordinator said that ofsted are pretty hot on timings in my area so I should expect a visit in the next couple of weeks.

Trying to get sorted with house, paperwork etc...thank god for this site - I'd be soooo lost without it!
