I'm getting rid of my bulky highchair that takes up too much room and looking for some lowchairs instead.

I want something that has a removeable tray and either doesn't take up much space, or folds compactly. It needs to have sides & a strap, ie. I don't just want a little chair.

I currently use an Ikea kiddies table & chairs for the older children, but want the little ones to be at the same height. It doesn't matter if they don't push right up to the table as long as they are next to it. I also want to be able to use the chairs for craft etc, so need a good sized tray.

I like the look of these, but they're just too expensive:

I have had something like this before, but the table is no good for anyone else to use as it's got bars at the bottom & you can't push other chairs in. Due to lack of space, I need things to have as many uses as possible & don't have room for a table that can only be used by one child!

Any suggestions?

I have just bought this one and love it.

Safety First 1st Swing Tray Booster Seat High Chair .

You can have it sitting on the floor or have it on a dinning room chair, has the straps and also the tray swings round to make it easier to put little in the seat and has 2 settings for the tray to lock into placec depending on how big the child is.

Says its suitable from 6 months to 3 years as well.

Was only £15 so didnt break the bank

I bought a doodle silver cross highchair and low chair ,expensive but brilliant ,wanted them for same reasons as you. When not in use can take legs of and put in cupboard, straps come of easily to wash, can take tray of and push undertable so kids all at same hight, and younger ones still strapped in .Much easier to clean than wooden one that you liked ,i was going to buy that one originally but nursery friend said it dented easily.
