I've got my inspection coming up in two weeks time. She is arriving at 3.45pm as I work during the day (not CM) so only have 2 after schoolers age 4 and a 9 year old. What exactly do Ofsted want to see? I was sure I saw a thread once about what to do but can't find it.
Thanks.

ps: Where on the Ofsted website would I find all relevant information. I can never find anything.

Sorry this is going to be a really unhjelpful reply but nevertheless true - blood from a stone!!!!:D ;)

They want to see your paperwork in good order (attendance sheets, accident and incident forms properly made out, child record forms) with a sound understanding and knowlegde of Safeguarding Children, health and safety awareness along with healthy eating.
Make sure you first aid kit is ok,

Go through you standards one by one and see how you are meeting them.

Don't be afraid to tell her things that you do and make things obvious - ie - I use separate towels/flannels for each child that are washed/changed every night, here is my weekly menu, this is my weekly activity planner so children and parents can see, pix of the kids enjoying activities.

I would browse the Ofsted website and look for recent inspections in your area - you can learn a lot from there, especially if you find ones by your inspector.

This is a useful document - 'Are you ready for your inspection?' by Ofsted...

Hope it helps! :D

Hope all went well with your inspection - I'm in the process of printing off the doc - I think I may have it here somewhere but I'll print it again anyway.
