Hi

I bought a new highchair at the weekend and it has a 5 point harness attached but my god it is so small it doesn't even go around my 12mth old mindee and she's not exactly big. I need to replace it but I'm having trouble finding anywhere that sells them. It's a wooden highchair so it just needs screwing on, the screws will just go through the webbing. Surely you must be able to buy standard 5 point harnesses somewhere???

If you buy a set of reins, they come with little staps which you attatch instead of the big long strap that you would use to hold on to the child....does that make sense? Anyway, you could screw through these little straps....they are about 5-6 inches long if i remember correctly. Not a 5 point harness but the child wouldn't be able to get out.

I got a set of reins from Boots, and they have straps which attach onto anything really. We took them on holiday and used them to secure dd to a variety of chairs!!!

What about mothercare or ebay - you could see both on their websites if they have any or google it.

I have had to buy canvas strapping from BandQ before to create longer straps for high chairs. They sell clip/buckles too.

I've had some from ebay too, much cheaper than Boots.
