I have a gate from my hall to the kitchen as but it has a narrow opening in the centre and a bar at the bottom. In November I have a six month old starting and I would like to be able to push a buggy from the playroom through the hall and into the kitchen when I am cooking if he is sleeping/tired (Iwill have two toddlers on the same days as baby), so I will need a gate that opens the width of the door and has no bar at the bottom. Any recommendations gratefully received.

we have these at the top and bottom of the stairs and the doorway to the kitchen. They are attached to fixed knobby things on your wall or door frame. the great thing is the gates can be removed from the fixings in 2 seconds. This is great cos we have no kids and OH gets a bit sick of gates being everywhere (even though they are always open when no kids around)

I have the silver lindam ones! they are fab, and like the others say they can be removed in seconds and no bar to trip over! The only thing is that once the Lo's reach about 2 1/2 -3 yrs they can also open them, which has advantages and disadvantages!! Very sturdy tho.

What about the Lascal kiddyguard, a bit pricey but the children will never be able to open it and it rolls away like a blind when not in use
