Hi evryone in this section. I have just joined the forum and would love to put a question to you all.
I look after a boy who is now 2 and half. About 10 weeks ago his prents sent him to me in pants. He never tells me when he needs to go to the toilet. He doesn't show interest in going to the toilet . He can wee on the loo if you put him there and has on occasion done a poo but I find I am constantly cleaning up soiled clothes. Having to put him in the shower and cannot relax when we go out. Almost daily I send him home with soiled clothes. His mum is determined not to put him back in nappies but I feel he is just not ready. i can constantly remind him but he is only really beginning to make the connection. At home they say they wait for the smell and then rush him to the toilet. That to me is not potty training. What are your thoughts. I look after him 4 days a week. I have 3 children of my own and with them I kind of knew when they were ready and then there were hardly any accidents. Of course I am prepared for the odd accident but this is a daily thing. It is beginning to get me down. Am I being silly and is it just part of the job?

Hi Jelly Bean

I do not think it is fair of the parents to expect you to have to deal with this and think you should have a chat the child is so obviously not ready

If you click on each link you will find some of the information that is in the forum about this
At least you know you are not the only one
