Today I feel like I've achieved something. Took DS to football and got chatting to a mum, it turned out she was looking for childcare during the summer holidays, so gave her one of my cards and had a good ol' chat. She's going to get back to me next week.

Also, took DS to hairdressers, got chatting to the manager, she asked me what my job was so told her, and lo and behold, she had a customer come in this morning and when chatting (like they do), she asked if she knew of any childminders, so left a pile of flyers and business cards with her to dish out, and she's going to call her customer on Monday to pass on my details ... things may be looking up :)

VERY GOOD . See you don't know the minute.

My friends once found a new mindee at the bus stop...
(no not the child  ) her nan was talking to my friend and she asked were she was going with the children. Her grandson started 3 weeks later :clapping:

I 'found one' on the bus when I was taking my kids swimming!

Got talking to a mum who was looking to change her childminder. I now look after 2 beautiful children for that mum :)

I had my playroom built and the boss said he saw how I was with the kids and wanted his grandchild to come to me - Unfortunately I was full but I have made a good friend out of the boss' daughter who wanted the care for her little one.

Mines not really an unlikely place, but I got one from a visit to the park with one of my mindees
