Hi All

Have had an enquiry for a seven yr old, 7.00am till 9am before school and then 3.20pm till 6pm after school three days a week.

What would you charge for this?

Also they do not require holiday care so would you charge something throughout the half terms and summer hols to keep the space?

Thanks for your help? x

I charge my hourly rate but 50p more (making it £4-50) for schoolies, with a minimum of 2hrs per day.

It suits me fine at the moment not to have children in the hols so I haven't been charging a retainer for my current ones but i might revise that at some point.

Its quite early! I charge £10 per day before and after school but I would put the first hour extra as unsociable hrs

I charge my normal hourly fee from 8am. Before that would be double the normal rate and I dont charge schoolers a holiday retainer. Normal hourly rate for after school (minimum charge of 2 hours)

I'd prefer not to work the holidays so I don't charge a retainer but if you work the holidays then I'd offer the parents :

1/2 fee retainer for hols OR

higher hourly rate for t-time only.

I would charge more for 0700-0800 also.:)

I would charge more for 0700-0800 also.:)

I would also charge a higher rate for this as my normal start time is 0800

I would charge £7.50 each morning and £14 after school with £2.50 for tea if required and then hols the same rate as the other children (standard day rate).

I would charge normal rate, they are no more or less work than anyone else so dont see how you could justify charging more.
as for the holidays I personaly wouldnt charge as i am happy to have less children in the hols, plus if i have more in the hols then i wouldnt have any space left in the car so suits me better anyway

Can I just say how jammie you others are who start at 8!!! Dont know how you manage it - parents must work either really locally to you or start well late! 2 of mine start at 7, the other 2 start at 7.30. I charge a flat fee for before and after school, and wouldnt charge for the holidays if they had made it clear from the outset that they didnt want them :)

i charge a set fee for before school and afterschool. Because it's before 8.00 i'd charge an extra £5 per morning.
And during school holidays i charge half the weeks fees to space the space.
