It's amazing what you can find around the house.

All my children love our treasure baskets and they have been put together very cheaply.

Check out places like the pound shops and the works - they often have sensory items at a fraction of what you'd pay elsewhere.

I have a treasure basket made of all the natural materials. I have also done a sensory box with things like, the rubber balls with a light that flashes, the tubes that make a noise when tipped upside down, rubber snakes with water in, sponge balls, foil blanket, anything that jingles, a rain maker, coloured plastic bricks that are made from different coloured perspex to look through, coloured plastic springs,spikey tumble drier balls...... raid toy boxes, and as has been said poundshop is great for these bits and pieces or those cheap shops near the coast (which I love to browse), I spent no more than £2 on each item, mostly were £1 or under. Start off with a small box and add to it as and when. I don't leave this box out all the time I get it out a couple of times a week for an hour or so. x
