Hi everyone

I have been a child-minder for 8 years now and had my Ofsted inspection on Tuesday which went ok ( I was given a Satisfactory grade). However I am a bit fed up because earlier this year one of the parents at the school that I pick up from (not one of the parents of a child that I mind) reported me to Ofsted because she thought that I was minding over my numbers.

Ofsted came out to investigate and found that I was not over my numbers but they have still logged that complaint onto my report even though I had done nothing wrong. Does this seem fair to you?

As far as I was aware...after September 2006...if a complain is unfounded or no further action is required then it is not supposed to be logged on your report...simply kept on your file with OFSTED.
Might be worth investigating & having a moan about!

I agree I would question it

Well done for getting through your inspection I bet you are glad that is over now

I agree with Angel and Tasha about questioning the complaint,
well done with the inspection,

Hi, if the complaint was unfounded it should DEFINITELY NOT be on your
file!

I had a parent write to ofsted about me and they did not even investigate after receiving my letter and they informed me that no further action would
be taken and it would not be logged on my file.

Phone or write to them and get it removed.

Good Luck

When I had my inspection, the inspector mentioned an unfounded complaint that had been made against me earlier last year - I showed her the letter from Ofsted which said it was unfounded and no action was going to be taken against me....

They'd confirmed it all with me, but hadn't updated their own online system!

Definitely worth a letter! :D
