hi there all chilminders.... I'm currently doin my CACHE diploma in home-based childcare and the problem is my teacher is the worst you could ever get!!! she just gave us some past exam questions and answers but the problem is on one paper the answer is one thing and on the other paper it says the answer is something else :for example :
(one of the questions)
The advantages of communicating with parents by letter are to
1)helps maintain contact with busy parents
2)keep information about children confidential
3)make it easier to communicate about difficult issues
4)establish a friendly relationship with parents
(a)1,2 (b)1,3 (c)2,4 or (d)3,4
on one paper it says the answer is (a) whilst on another it says the answer is (d) ...... any ideas (personally i thought it was (a) but i'd rather ask an actual childminder :) )

I think it's probably 1 by a process of elimination...

Confidentiality isn't an issue if you take parents to one side to talk to them;

Difficult issues should be discussed, then followed up with a letter (well they are here);

A friendly relationship is best built up through talking not writing.

But I might be wrong! :D

id say A

because its says keeping in contact with BUSY parents and
keeps it confidential

although a letter can be lost its a bit more private than an email or text


id rather difficult issues be dealt with face to face so defo not number 3
and as sarah said talking is much nicer
