Sorry, but have to vent!
Dad picked mindee up late today. When he turned up, LO pointed to a picture of me and my dog (no longer here). He said 'thats not Natalie', looked at me and said ;thats not you is it?'. I said 'yes it is actually'....to which he replied 'loads of airbrushing there then!'. He said 'was it a long long time ago?' and I said 'well a few years ago, before Daniel' and he didnt reply.
I couldnt even look at him! Hubby didnt hear cos he would have gone mental! He is a neighbour and not a friend.
I spent the next hour crying!
I know I have weight to lose. I am the kind of person who puts weight on with stress, my mum was diagnosed with cancer last year and load smore has happened and my life has been stressful. He doesnt know anything about me to comment on anything. I am so upset.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! he is here to bring LO in the morning and I wont be able to look at him, I am not the most confident person in the world and suffer from very low self esteem and unable to say anything about it to him.....

Aw what an insensitive man! Poor you.
It is so hard, I think most of the time we are our own worst enemies always being down on ourselves, and then someone comes along and completely puts their foot in it. Without wishing to defend this man I'd bet he has no idea how he's made you feel, men are just like that, he probably thought he was being funny.
Please try to ignore and forget about what he said, although I don't know you I'm sure you're lovely, and although you've got a few pounds to lose (haven't we all!!) you've got a lovely supportive family who love you for being you, just the way you are!

I've never met you but as a childminder you have a kind heart and offer a warm loving envirmoment for the children you work with. That makes you a beatiful person.
Ignore the man, ifhe is good looking he most likely has a tiny peepee and must care for himself more than his partner so dont shy away from him ... feel sorry for him as he can not see pure real beauty.

I've never met you but as a childminder you have a kind heart and offer a warm loving envirmoment for the children you work with. That makes you a beatiful person.

He's just an insensitive idiot! Don't listen to what he says and don't let him upset you. Some people just don't think. I had a mum round once about childcare for her daughter - she looked at a picture on the wall of me and my family taken quite a long time ago and said you looked much better then!!! I felt down about it for ages, but then thought that's just her opinion - she wanted me to take her daughter on though - I didn't (there were some other issues and I knew it wouldn't work)! Hold your head up high when you next see him and think something really horrible about him (you don't have to say it!!)

My husband is fuming and wants to knock on his door....lives almost opposite! Its not worth it though. I wouldn't mind, neither him nor his wife are small and she is so rude. There are issues with LO and now I know why to be honest. Anyone would have issues living with that! He is short, fat and balding and is constantly moaning about his life and how skint they are etc.
I am the first to admit I have an issue with my weight and probably won't forget his remark for a while. Insensitive *bleep*. He is due here again this morning so I am dreading that, another mindee due at same time so I will concentrate on the kids and basically ignore him.
Will let you know if anything is said - which I very much doubt as he has no clue how he has made me feel, muppet!
I have a good life, a fantastic husband who loves me for what and who I am, an amazing son who lights up my life, the best family and amazing friends. What more can a girl ask for??

Oh Natalie what a horrible man I have a weight issue as well always have done just like most, just ignore him and like you say concentrate on the children. I love reading your status on facebook you always cheer me up and i can tell how much your hubby and Daniel means to you and how much you mean to them and that is all that matters.

Mr Nasty picked up his daughter on Thursday. We done an All About Me task where the LOs spoke about their family....
It turns out
'My daddy is small and round with no hair and mummy is big mummy'
It gave me great satisfaction in relaying this information back to dad!! His face was a picture!!!
