what do you give your mindees to eat in this hot weather? i have 2 mindees aged about 15mnths and i can't exactly give them salad can i! lol.

yesterday i did them sausage and mash and veg but it was far too hot to be cooking that and too hot to be eating it. i sometimes give them a dinner and sometimes a light meal, but i dont want to give them sandwiches every day.

what do you all cook for the littlies in hot weather?

houmos and pittas/cucumber/toms/peppers to dip

homemade pizzas - on french bread so no bread baking and just a quick one for the oven

quiche with a variety of fillings ( cheese/bacon/ham/peas/corn/broccolli/salmon/peppers ... ) this i do with salad, my 20mth old loves salad!

or baked beans, hot or cold!

another favourite is pasta salad - cold pasta twirls with peas, sweetcorn, tin of mixed bean salad, chopped pepper, cold green beans and tuna or chicken chunks. the mindees tend to have it plain, i add french dressing to mine!

how about a cold rice/couscous salad or one mixed with roasted veg in, with some meat/fish.
