my oh as my assistant

how would this work money wise.

do i have to pay him, im thinking of registering him as my assistant,
he is a lorry driver and can be at home when we are so thought y not use him :laughing:
but i dont want go thru the rigmoral of money,im thinking ahead ,say we have a baby here and he/she is asleep,i have to go to 2 schools from sept and im thinkin if i register him and he does the 1st aid i would be able to leave younger child here whilst i do school run or vise versa


am i right ?

Hi i registered my oh as an assistant .......on my cert says he can be left for short periods of time .......also had parents sign to say they are happy with this as well to cover me ..... I dont pay him though as he is here anyway and doesnt always help ...........if i dont need it so no money is involved anyway .

I'd pay him... it is a good way to write money off against tax!

Yes they can be left for short periods with permission if they have first aid :D

but how would that work with his employment? worried it would mess up his NI and tax wat he pays out of his wage
