We bought a peugeot 807 on Thursday.....so exactly the same car as you but with a different badge, hehe!
Its a great car but it is so big, it will take some getting used to! Plus our last car was an auto so im having to learn to use gears again. AND i have always driven diesels and this is a petrol. :panic:

Welcome to the club!!! - I have one - got it when they first came out in '03 and have done about the same mileage as yours - I've got a scratch on the bumper and some scratches on the tailgate where I reversed into a road sign in the snow - I couldn't see where the road ended and verge began and a car came skidding at speed around a bend while I was trying to turn my car in the road and I had to move quickly and hit the sign. Because the tailgate is made from a carbon composite it just bounced back out again - I just have a bit of flaking paint on it that needs sorting.

The worst damage to it is on the integrated sun blinds - both have been destroyed by mindees quietly fiddling with them and un hooking them at one end while I've been driving along then when I opened the doors they got caught up and ripped - I feel pig sick the second one only happened the other night. DH will kill me - everything on these bloomin cars is so expensive to get repaired. Do yourself a favour and if you need any major work doing on it that an independant garage cant do don't go to a main dealer - find a Citroen Specialist - I found them on the internet. I saved about £500 doing this last year when needing to get a common problem sorted - there is also a forum for owners where you can pick up some advice and sort some problems out yourself.

There is an oil in a resevoir under the back of the car that has gold filings in and costs a fortune to have replaced it has to do with the diesel fuel injection thingy and every time you fill up some of this goes in to the system and the filings clogg up a certain filter (not the regular cheaper one) so its best to let the fuel run down to nealy empty and then fill it up to avoid the problem - this special filter costs the earth to replace. The other common problem is the fuel gague itself - once it reaches the red and says you have about 45 mls left - fill up - you haven't - I ran out of fuel with a reading of 46mls left and then again with more and DH did also on 39 mls - again its a very common problem with the computers on these.

Other than all that I do love mine its so comfortable to drive and sit in - loads of room for 6 kiddies with all their junk.

I dont do enough miles for it to make any difference. Apparently it would even itself out when/ if it comes to repair costs because diesels can be more expensive when things go wrong.
I find diesels much easier to drive though!
