what do you give parents on their first visit, previoiusly i have sent them away pack containing my policys and my ofsted report and a letter saying what we do ie routines and outings etc.
do i need to give them all this bumf or am i wasting paper, am i better to just give them my ofsted report and then if they want to come and sign contracts then give them the rest of the stuff?
or should i just tell them how to access my report online?
have new parent comming tomoro and its the first one for ages and i want to get it right,,, If this child comes i will be full !!

I give an info pack that consists of a few pages:

info about me and contact details
opening hours & fees
example of our daily routine, activities & menu
a list of the policies I have & the permissions I will ask for (not the actual policies or permissions)
copy of a contract
copy of a child record form
copy of complaints policy
copy of Ofsted Parents poster

I don't give them a copy of my Ofsted report. I show them a copy here & tell them where they can find it online.

I always try to get an email address from them and after the visit, I send them an email outlining what we've talked about.
