hi Lorna, yes you do need to do obs, planning etc but it will be limited to the time you spend with the child...

So you are looking at very brief notes saying what the child has enjoyed and what you think s/he might enjoy next.

Thanks Sarah, I knew you'd be bringing me bad news though! I suppose you're right though, 2hrs a week will only let me do very limited obs so the paperwork will hopefully be kept to a minimum.

I would suggest...

Week 1... child has enjoyed playing with dolls and blankets

Week 2... I will get out buggy and dolly bottles for child to follow her interests

Week 2... child has enjoyed playing with treasure basket

Week 2... mum says child is playing with push along walker at home

Week 3... I will get out walker and buggy

Week 3... child has had fun with ... etc.

So it's a cycle of obs into planning into obs, in as few words as possible.

You will need to link it all to the Eyfs but again only briefly.
