had this e.mail sent to me from Nottingham city council

We would like to draw your attention to this e mail which has been forwarded to us by a local childminder (see attached).

This would appear to be a scam of some kind, either –

When the cheque is paid to the childminder it will be for more than the agreed fee and from a third party. Harry then asks you to refund him the difference, your payment is cashed and his cheque is returned as unpayable leaving you out of pocket.

Or a ploy to obtain your bank account details.

My name is Mr harry rosario and i
am an italian american . At present,i am
looking for a minder for
my 3year old son, that would be moving to the uk with me..
we would be in the uk for 36months
i am recently divorced, and have custody of my custody of my son due to a court injuction
i am in search for a child minder who would be with him during the day
i would like to know if you can offer your
services. i would like to know your
1... your location
2....fees (per hour....perday) depending on how you
have always given your services.
In regards your fees,i would be
happy to ask my client to post a certified uk cheque
to you in advance for deposit and booking of your
services.I would make arrangements for every other
payment in cash once i arrive in the uk...I would be happy
if you can get in touch with me as soon as possible.
thanks in anticipation as
i await your urgent response.
best regards.

please reply only to my private mail...

ONCE YOU REPLY ANOTHER E-MAIL IS SENT ALONG WITH A PHOTO OF A SMALL BOY CALLED ETHAN

thanks for your mail as i aknowledge receipt of it.
i have attached ethan's picture so you know how he looks like...
i have made arrangements for an apartment
in Clifton
i would love to negotiate for 200pounds weekly
and 800pounds monthly for
you services and you would be with my son from
8.00am -6pm weekly mon - fri.
i would be paying you monthly.
if all this is ok with you,
i would like to make a
deposit as booking for your service for my son.
do you have a cv or any references?
though it does not matter as i have
already feel you are ok to take care of my son..
thanks in anticipation as i await your urgent
response
regards
harry
