Just a quick question, when a child leaves do you give the parents all the paperwork on their child. I know you give the childs progress book with all their work in, but do you hand over all the observation sheets and assessments too?

Thanks for any help.

You hand over all the eyfs stuff, so learning journey with obs, assessments etc... because they should pass some on to pre-school/nursery/school etc.... You need to keep any med records, attendance registers, record of concerns and any other safeguarding stuff for 21 years and 6 months for every child that you look after.

We hand over their learning journey and also copy all their child's photographs onto a DVD as a little present so they can play it back whenever they want.
