hiya,
i'm looking for an Iphone for my daughter for her birthday
anyone selling one??
best bet would be ebay..but they are expensive for 2nd hand...are you sure you trust her with one of them?

I had a 2 min look at the website and it said 4G phones are coming out 24th June - so the older ones should go own in price.
Haven't a clue what a 4G phone is

this is the confusion...4g as in network we dont have in the uk.
4th gen just means the newer version of the model...if you look at older ipods online they will mention 2g 3g etc.
hebs, sorry itlooks like i think she wouldnt be trusted with it just meant it was an expensivegift for a 'young un'...;)
Oh no i knew what you ment x my niece is 16 this year and is hopeless at looking after things xx

I just upgraded by two contracts and got an ipod and Blackberry for free. When is Melissa's upgrade due?
Have a look at her contract as a lot of them do not support the ipod. I landed up with 24mths as £35 with 600m, unlimited text and internet

debbie..that works out to £840 for the iphone, yes i know you dont pay that out in 1 go but effectively double what the phone is work. I was looking ot do contract but couldnt justify that amount for a phone.

aly i appreciate what you are saying about the total cost but the price you pay for the phone doesn't include calls or messages
my son paid £350 for his iphone and pays £20 pm so in effect it works out a very similar price over two years and at least it means you don't have to pay it all in one go if you can spread it over 24 months

Ithink I am trying to justify it in my mind as I really want one, but went withan android phone {they are fab mind} and an Itouch as acompromise.
Ieven looked into buying myself out but with 2new contracts 1 finishing aug 11 and another feb 11 itsjustnotviable.
Guess I am just jealous :P...lol

Im getting 4g when it comes out. There will be loads around too, maybe put a thread on the o2 forum? O2 are offering to buy them back for £143 so maybe use that as a guide price.
Might even be worth getting the sim/contract now as contracts taken after 24th June you will no longer get unlimited data, it will be capped.
they have a sim already will be getting the phones unloacked if need be :thumbsup:

I don't think you get all functions if you don't use an iphone sim.

It was the case when I worked at Orange anyway, when activating a phone you had to put special products on the sim for certain phones, Blackberries were the same, took ages, lol.
Just to add though i think they're prices are good, I pay £20 per month for 1200 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data and the contract is only 30 days rolling so you aren't signing up for years. I bet most kids top up more than that a month.

Its 24th June its out, although they are also stopping unlimited data for new contracts and upgrades that date too :panic: New phone launch data was announced by Apple monday just gone.
