Hi all I registered in Febuary and have decided to stop minding and have given parents notice I still want to remain registered this year for emergency cover for a friend will I still have to have an inspection if I have no children on my books??

They will probably call before the inspection so you can tell them then that you have no children on your books. Shame that you have decided to quit so soon after going to the trouble of registering.

they called me when i was on maternity leave about inspection, I just explained there were no children and I was also handing my notice in to ofsted to stop minding
they just said ok

when you have your friends children as an emergency will you be charging?

how often will they possibly need you?

if you are not going to be charging a fee and it will only be once in a blue moon then you do not need to stay registered but handy as you are covered until ofsted request anual fees.

Sorry to see that you have made the decission to end it, childminding doesnt suit everyone but atleast you have gained experience and paperwork to add to your portfolio for future jobs.
