This is a website that is supposed to have the list of all the scrap stores in the country on.

http://www.childrensscrapstore.co.uk/Uk%20Directory%20of%20Scrapstore1.htm

They recycle things that companies do not want any more.Great for cheap resources, particularlty for arts and crafts etc. Our local one was selling tinsel for 20p a carrier bag before Christmas. Ours has paper, fur, material, ribbon, large cardboard tubes, vinyl an lots more. Depends what they have been able to collect from local companies but really good.

Ours is great, you get some wonderful things there, but you can't take the children in, but they now open on a Saturday so at least you can go then. They also sell some new things such as paint/glue/paper.

Thanks

Kelly

Ours is the same, absolutely brilliant, saves money too as things are sold with not too much mark up. Plus they put on activity days with ideas on how to use the scrap, work sheets and much more. :)

Thanks for that. I've just arranged with a friend to go to our nearest to get stuff for the spring break.

 Ohhhhhhhhh - I should have said best to check opening times and rules as they vary. Ours is new and only open 2 half days a week but will accept accompanied children. Some charge a membership fee - ours charges £1 per visit.

Some have courses and craft sessions

Some also have toy/resource loan (not mine)

We do't lie anywhere near a scrap store, sadly, otherse Ithink we'd be egular visitors. There is one you can buy resources online.....
