One of my recommendations from Ofsted was to have some more muticultral resources and she suggested musical instruments.

Can anyone please recommend some multicultral instruments that arent expensive and where i could get them from.

Many thanks

Also a website called Monkey Drum, I got lots from there, some things cost less than £3.00 and all was delivered the next morning! Also got a nice basket of 7 multi cultural instruments on ebay for £10 from a business seller.

Yep, that's most of the bits that I got too, the thunder drum is also good. I found them all to be just the right size for my under 3 age group.

I buy when I visit another country. Have some awesome African instruments I bought from the very people who made them in South Africa. :)

Some lovely sites have been mentioned, must have a look!

do you have any family/friends who go on holidays to foreign countries regularly? Ask if they could bring back small instruments? I've recently been to Cuba and brought back a big maraca and a Cuban instrument made from palm tree (can't explain it in words though  ) but makes a great noise! I've been brought a couple of instruments back from friends, one from South Africa and Cyrpus.
