assistant and crb check

Just after some more advice sorry.

I'm already registered to work with an assistant but i need to get a new one due to previous one having other commitments now.

Do i have to wait until they have thier crb or can they start working with me but never be left unsupervised until thier crb comes back.

I know that they can't be left in sole charge until they have their first aid certificate.

You're best checking with Ofsted... if there's nothing in the assistants handbook

I was told by Ofsted, your new assistant can work with you but not be left unsupervised untill crb is back.
Im in this situation at the mo.

i phoned yesterday and was told that they could work but i couldn't implement my numbers when working with an assistant until their crb came back.

wow...just been reading this post...am quite shocked at this being allowed to be with mindees before crb is back?

i was expecting the replies to say crb back firdt for safety sake?
