Whats the order of progression on becoming a childminder??

Hiya!

I've got my first pre-registration meeting next weds and then another one the week after, both lasting 2 hours. What happens once I've been to these meetings and want to carry on? Thanks for your help in advance :) xx

you will enrol on the LA course - normally ICP - introduction to childcare practice
first aid
in the meantime you will be getting the documentation rolling such as : application to Ofsted - suitable person/home - they will come out and do a pre-reg check with you ..........medical declaration, crb (ofsted will sign of the crb to get that ball rolling at the pre-reg check)

it can take a while - 4-8 months approx in total.
