I want to put a big display board on the wall so I can put the pictures, displays etc on there rather than straight onto the wall.

How do you make them? I doubt I'd be able to buy a board big enough, so I'm thinking I'll have to put some sort of board onto the wall & a frame round it?
What do you use for the board? Something like cork tiles?

All help appreciated!

I have a green felt notice board that the doctors were throwing out, (my brother is the caretaker so he asked if I could have it  ) it is 1.2m x 0.9m so quite big, I think they are about £35 from stationery stores.

I bought a big notice board from amazon. It has blue felt but i just cover it up with coloured paper relating to whatever theme we are doing. Think it only cost around £20.

i made mine really quite cheaply! It's about 1.5m x 1m. I got blue felt from dunelm, chip board from b & q and a staple gun. Hubby then screwed it into the wall.

I have one 1.5m by 2m on my kitchen wall. It is an aluminium framed feltboard so I can use velcro or pins to stick on. Cost me about £30 online

I use these and then they can be rolled up and put away or turned around for a different look.http://www.yellowmoon.org.uk/src/ADBRAND/product-Kids-A4-Artwork-Wall-Hanger-K859.htm and these are great for photo displays http://www.yellowmoon.org.uk/src/ADBRAND/product-Photo-Wall-Hanger-D881.htm

You can also get magnetic whiteboards from staples but a bit pricey.

we use cork tiles on a wall in the utility room. It is covered with colour paper and the name of our monthly theme goes in the middle. Art work pictures are put on it for the parents to see.
