i wish they would make their minds up its took us almost 2 years to get our heads around it and now they thinking of changing it.:eek:

maybe the fact you brought in eyfs or is it the fact you give 15 free to 2 1/2 year olds or is it the fact you are giving free hours to 2 years olds:eek: :idea:

What about us "childminders" free early years at nursery and our local council have delayed funding for childminders to have the free spaces unil 2011 it was supposed to come into force this year!!! we are losing out big time! will lose out again! :angry:

I don't see how 20 hours free nursery care can be accomodated in most school nuresery's. it would mean starting at 8am at most since lunch isn't possible - not at ours anyway. A lot of nurseries have had problems sorting our 3 hours a day if they have both morning and afternoon sessions.

I like the idea of taking away the statutory element of the 6 learning and development goals - i think childminders would feel less pressure if this was the case.
