hello

I am currently on maternity leave from my office job where I get good benefits, sick pay, private medical insurance etc

I am thinking of taking out insurance so that being self-employed I can still get paid, or if I become unemployed

does anyone have any recommendations or how much it costs?

thanks

I looked into this a while ago and I can't remember the exact figures but I know that I didn't go ahead with it because there were so many things you couldn't claim for it made it a bit silly.

If you come across a good company or anyone has any ideas please share :D

i called the one that was in who minds but it was a fortune! i have a long term policy but it doesn't pay out for 6 months (but is then backdated) so it's not for occasional missed days or small ops but if something happened and I could never work again, it pays until I retire at around £12,000/year.

That costs me £35/month
