Do I need to inform Ofsted when I go on maternity leave?

yes! and if u are a ncma member u can freize your membership and insurance.:)

no. you don't need to tell OFSTED. You do need to tell them about the birth of the baby within 2 weeks of having it.
Nothin to do with the how long you take off, unless it's over 3 years!

I had a baby 18 months ago, and definitely didn't need to tell them when I went off. I did get a visit 6 weeks or so after and got an action against me for not telling them about the birth. I was well pleased with that. So, word of warning, don't forget!!
